The spirit of the dress code is designed to maintain a certain
appearance standard while at the Club. Good taste and manners will
be the overriding principle. Members are responsible for their proper
country club attire and that of their families and guests.
|
Guest Policies
A member may invite any person to the Club as a guest when such
a person is accompanied by the member and adheres to the clubs “rules”.
A guest shall not be invited to play golf more than four times
in a calendar year. The Golf Shop will keep records of all guests,
so please allow time to register your guests prior to teeing
off.

General Guidelines
Every Club has its own set of "house rules" and these
are a few that pertain to Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club:
-
All players must register with the Golf Shop prior to teeing
off.
-
All players are expected to complete eighteen holes in four
hours
or less. If your group is unable to keep up with the group
in front of you, please speed up and/or invite the group behind
you
to play through. During peak play times, a marshal will
patrol the course in an effort to identify slow play.
-
Groups of more than four players are allowed (except Saturday
and Sunday mornings before 9:30 a.m.), but such groups
must conform
to the same time of play as a foursome. Please do not ask
to play in groups larger than foursomes if you cannot
comply with the time
limits.
-
Groups of less than four players should not expect to play
through foursomes.
-
Please replace all divots, repair ball marks,
rake all bunkers and place rakes in the bunkers.
- Soft spikes are mandatory.
-
Power carts must stay at least 30 yards from all tees
and greens. Pull carts and power hand carts must
be kept off
the tees and greens
at all times.
-
Tee times can be reserved up to one week in advance.
Walk-on times cannot be reserved over the phone.

All golfers should maintain a handicap.
The USGA states that the purpose of the USGA Handicap System is, "To
make the game of golf more enjoyable by enabling golfers of differing
abilities to compete on an equitable basis". Furthermore, "A
basic premise underlies the USGA Handicap system, namely that
every player will try to make the best score he can at each
hole in every
round he plays, regardless of where the round is played, and
that he will post every acceptable round for peer review."
