Q. Is the course playable all year around?

A. Yes. As with any course, there are times when the weather prevents play, but SRGCC is typically closed due to weather only a few days a year. For those few wet weeks, SRG&CC has tee boxes for each hole set from 110 to 165 yards, so the entire course can be played as a par 3 in any weather.

Q. What about assessments to members?

A. The bylaws of SRG&CC are very specific about how and why the Board can assess the members. The Board may only assess the membership for specific capital improvements or emergency repairs, and are limited to no more than one month’s dues in any fiscal year. Any other assessment requires a majority vote of the membership for approval. The most recent assessment was levied in 2005 for golf course equipment upgrades in the amount of $435 per proprietary member.

Q. Do members get a discount on equipment and apparel?

A. Yes, we have very aggressive member pricing on all golf equipment and apparel. Further, we will price match any other valid offer on equipment for our members.

Q. What if my family needs to leave the club?

A. SRG&CC members can resign with a 180-day notice.  During the 180 days, your membership status remains active. Upon expiration of the 180-day period, your resignation will become effective with no further obligation to the Club. Should your membership sell during the 180 days, your resignation would become effective at that point, with no further obligation to the Club.
