Bio

Allan Kelly, Athletic Director

As Athletic Director of the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club, Allan manages the Swim and Tennis facilities as well as the newly remodeled Fitness Center. He began swimming competitively at the age of 10 and competed throughout High School and College. Allan received his degree in Psychology and Biology, graduating Cum Laude from Sonoma State University. He spent the early part of his post-graduate years developing and participating as program director in a number of State and privately funded youth programs. These community outreach programs were designed to foster positive aspects of adolescent development. Allan regards direct communication with individuals to be of utmost importance when defining and shaping his goals.

Fitness Facility

The Club’s newly remodeled fitness facility houses top of the line commercial grade Cybex training equipment. The facility is outfitted with flat screen televisions, a stretching area, and an on-call personal trainer who can tailor a fitness plan to meet individual goals and needs.

 

300 in 30

Linda Illsey has constructed a class that means what it says, its right there in the title, burn 300 calories in 30 minutes.  This is a high energy circuit training workout that hits all the major area of the body, shaping and toning all while receiving an incredible cardio workout.  This class will leave you energized with a smile and ready for the day.

Classes: Mondays at 6:30 a.m.

 

Yoga

Kiana Rose, a practitioner of yoga for over 15 years, leads our yoga program. Kiana teaches a class that challenges the participants overall levels of strength and flexibility within a tranquil setting.

Classes: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays at 9:00 a.m.

 

Golf-Core

Linda is also the creator of our popular Golf-Core class, a class for the golfer and non-golfer alike. Linda breaks down the fundamental muscle groups used for golfing and instructs in ways to strengthen these areas of the body. She teaches participants that strength is found through stability and flexibility.
