Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club has a dedicated and well trained staff. The SRG&CC team manage our club, oversee membership, wedding and banquet functions, corporate events, and provide award-winning cuisine both for our member’s dining pleasure and for all of our events at SRG&CC.

Don Floriani

COO/ General Manager

I started at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club, as General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, on November 1, 2008. Prior to that time, I spent 30+ successful years in the business sector, primarily in management. In 2006, I became a member of Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club, and when I decided to retire from my former career, I was offered the position as General Manager.

The challenge of overseeing several different business operations within Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club and working with a great team of people that makes everything happen at The Club, are what interested me in the job, and still does.

The best part of my job is that there is never a dull moment, and things are always happening.

What I enjoy most is the team of people I work with, they are a stellar group of individuals that make sure our members and guests are assured of a premier experience at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club.

In my time off (perhaps one day a week) I actually like to golf. My wife and I also enjoy hiking, travel and fine food.

Brent Stromgren

Brent Allan Stromgren

Membership Development Coordinator

I am familiar face around Northern California as a Meteorologist.  I am so excited to now serve as Membership Development Coordinator at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club. As someone who loves people and golf, there could not be a better fit.

I spent several years with American Golf working at Mountain Shadows (now Foxtail) in the pro shop and as their Service Excellence trainer and I traveled across Northern California teaching new and existing employees about company values, sales training and motivational training. I was recruited away from Mountain Sahdows and joined the Sea Ranch Golf Links as Pro Shop and Course Manager.

After growing the membership and revenue at the Sea Ranch, I decided to follow and dream and return to school to become a Meteorologist. I served as Chief Meteorologist for KFTY TV50 from 1997 to 2007 and with KSRO AM 1350 until 2012. Following my career in TV and radio I had great success as the Sales Trainer and Account Representative for MetroPCS.

As a 6th generation Sonoma County native, my roots run deep here. I love this area. My wife and I joined the SRG&CC in 2006. This gives me unique insight into how to market our Club to potential members. There truly is no better place in Northern California. I look forward to growing our membership and enhancing the experience of our current members.

Jose Tobar

Jose Tobar

Food & Beverage Director

My career in hospitality began in 1992 at The City Club of San Francisco. Having worked in every position and I eventually became the Food & Beverage Director.  I studied at San Francisco City College and was certified by Club Corp of America where I also worked for 13 years.  In addition, I also worked at San Francisco Tennis Club and Ruby Hill Golf Club.

During my career I have been fortunate to work with and learn from many industry experts.  I have managed events for George Lucas, Tony LaRussa, Vice President Chaney, Steve Young, Andre Aggasi, and Vintner Dinners with top producers from around the world. The most memorable event of my career was planning The James Beard Foundation Dinner, with 12 of the best Chefs in the United States, including Daniel Boulud and multiple wine critics.

After leaving my native country El Salvador, I have spent my entire career in the Private Club Industry. I feel fortunate to be able to continue my career at the beautiful Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club and to reside in Sonoma County with its multitude of excellent wines and restaurants.

Jan Salisbury

Executive Chef

I have been a chef for over 30 years; I love food and the art of cooking professionally. I started cooking in Montana where I opened a pizza business in the basement of the stagecoach hotel in west Yellowstone. I had never cooked professionally so it was a huge leap of faith. The pizza business took off and I have never looked back.

I knew that cooking is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, so I moved to Sonoma County in 1987 and started out as a pantry cook. I worked my way through all the different stations at a restaurant called Aerowood, at the Sonoma county airport. I then moved on to work in Healdsburg at a little place called Samba Java on the square. I worked under Chef Colleen McGlynn. She taught me how to cook locally, and seasonally. We changed the menu daily, depending what the farmers brought in the back door. It was the best cooking and learning experience I had, so far.

I then worked freelance for different chefs as a catering chef. During the next few years I worked for Barbara Hom and Bruce Riesman learning about catering and large scale cooking. Now I was ready to open another restaurant. I opened “Kitchen” in the newly refurbished town of Graton. I opened in 1995 and. Kitchen was a success and I found myself working a tremendous amount of hours with not much time for my other passion of silver work.

After I closed Kitchen, I went on to work with John Ash and Bridget Harrington at Fetzer Vineyards in Hopland. I learned all about food and wine synergy and California cuisine. After four years at Fetzer I went to work in Santa Rosa for a company called McCormick and Schmick. I worked under Chef Liz Ozanich. Liz taught me all about seafood, French cooking and the art of managing restaurant staff.

I found an amazing atmosphere and team to work with starting in Fall of 2008 when I became the Executvie Chef at SRGCC. I continue to take several food and wine courses at the Greystone and continue to learn about my craft through books, magazines and by learning from other chefs.

I have a production kitchen at Santa Rosa Golf & Country Clubs most chefs would only wish to have combined with a staff that goes above and beyond to create the award winning food our members, corporate events, and wedding receptions have counted on over the years. Since I have been Executive Chef with SRGCC we have won numerous awards at the Harvest Fair each year. I am blessed to live and work in such a bountiful area.
